The Falkirk Wheel and The Kelpies are fast becoming two of Scotland’s most important tourist attractions, and quite rightly so!
The Falkirk Wheel is the only rotating boat lift of its kind in the world. Lifting boats from the Union canal basin over 24 metres (79 feet) to allow them to rejoin the Forth & Clyde Canals. A truly breathtaking piece of technology set in beautiful surroundings.
A five-minute drive takes us to The Kelpies, a 30 metre (100 feet) high monument to Scotland’s horse-powered heritage. The Kelpies are an awesome sight to behold. Created by renowned Scottish sculptor, Andy Scott, and only opened in 2014, the Kelpies are set to become the ‘must see’ destination on everyone’s list!
