Skye Photography Experience
Details for our skye Photography Experience
Please Note: All of the locations we visit in this workshop are within half a mile or so from the vehicles, and many are much closer. However, the terrain can be moderately challenging on occasion. Some paths can be uneven, wet and slippery at times. We would suggest that a fair level of fitness is required. Please get in touch if you feel you would like to discuss this further.
The Isle of Skye or the Isle of Mist (Eilean a’Cheo in Gaelic) is renowned for its awe-inspiring landscapes, picturesque villages and remote and weather-beaten beauty. Skye is the largest island in the Inner Hebrides archipelago and has a rugged coastline of peninsulas and narrow sea-lochs, which radiate out from its mountainous interior. Evidence of its Norse and Gaelic heritage is evident at every turn, and the history of the island is every bit as bloody and fascinating as any you will find on the mainland.
These are just a few of the reasons why Photographers, Writers, Artists and Outdoor Enthusiasts have flocked to this island for well over 150 years. Famous names such as the Black Cuillin, the Quirang, and the Old Man of Storr act as magnets, particularly for the photographer, and are always favourite destinations on our Skye Experience. However, we also have a number of lesser-known locations up our sleeve which are equally as spectacular. Why not come along and share in our discoveries on the Isle of Mist? You won’t be disappointed.
